So QuirkyLime is alive. After selling most of the calendars I have decided on the next poster. DON'T LOSE THE PLOT. I printed it last week and have used nice bright colours, pink and yellow. I wanted to create something lighthearted, uplifting and with a soft edge of obviousness. To find out more and buy it visit my shop I have printed only 10 to sell. They are all unique, I love the imperfections of screen printing, and have for ages been trying/experimenting to recreate them deliberately. So here the edges are created by the squeegee. I love the edges, and the impection of the yellow text too. My favourite ones are where the pink is not perfectly covered. See below the ten final ones.
I have done some photos (last one is only mine) for the website, and my friend, Kath - the photographer, helped me to take some cool ones in Claire's amazing show home.
Thanks to you both.
Look, what do you think?
The next thing I have to learn, on this journey of becoming an online shopkeeper, is marketing.
I have started creating my profile, which is a big job. Who am I, how do I want to be perceived as funny or serious? As a family, as mum or not that open? It is a very interesting task. You have to dig deep, mainly because it is on so many different levels (linked in, facebook, blog, shop) you have to be consistent and so very honest.
I am also redoing aleatoria's website (my bread and butter). So it feels like I could spend weeks behind the computer. I am effectively borning myself online as we speak!
